we conduct research on skin lesion images to isolate the affected region and try to detect cancer using various Machine Learning models. We are also working on detecting other skin related disease by analysing skin lesion images.
By computational approach, we are studying how switching of expressing transcripts of important genes change the interplay between RBP and miRNA in different cancers.
In our lab we focus on the role of a new player RNA modification in gene
expression regulation. m 6 A is the most prevalent RNA modification in
eukaryotes, and is enriched in 3’UTR of the RNA. m 6 A has been shown to
influence both RNA-binding protein (RBP) and microRNA (miRNA)
binding. Computationally we are studying the role of m 6 A in interplay
between RBP and miRNA in fine tuning expression of important genes in
different disease conditions.
We also conduct research on document image analysis which includes Binarization, Document layout analysis, Text extraction, Character recognition, Digit recognition etc.
